Crossover Design
Gro uses a 12 dB/octave Linkwitz–Riley crossover at 2750 Hz, incorporating T.I.M. (Transient Intermodulation) reduction circuits. The topology is designed for clean phase behavior, smooth driver transition, and stable off-axis performance contributing to Frida’s balanced, unforced presentation.
Tweeter
The tweeter is a 38 mm ring radiator chosen for its ability to reproduce overtones with clarity, openness, and high resolution. It is powered by a neodymium motor system, giving the unit exceptional speed, transient accuracy, and control. The design avoids intrusive resonances, maintaining linearity and preserving detail even at low listening levels.
Driver
For the mid and low frequencies, Gro uses two 5-inch woven mineral cones with excellent internal damping and extremely linear frequency response. The optimized center bullet reduces compression due to temperature variations in the voice coil. The lower suspension reduces sound reflection air flow noise and keeps cavity resonance to a minimum.
